Laptop would not recognise it all.Ĭhecked online and warranty was still good for another 18 months (you just search on the S/N no need for a receipt or anything) but of course it said they would not cover things like accidental damage - like dropping it. I dropped it pretty hard recently - enough for me to think "Uh oh this is NOT good" and of course when I plugged it in - nothing. The included backup software is rubbish but there's plenty around - I ended up using EaseUS which is free and as reliable as any other with no annoying ads.
